Thread lifting
If the skin and the underlying connective tissue have lost their tightness over the years , there is also a less elaborate variation of therapy than the actual surgical facelift surgery, namely the thread lifting with absorbable (self-resolving) PDO (polydioxanone) threads.
In this case, several threads are placed into and under the skin in local anesthesia. These swell up in the next days and reach their full effect after a few weeks. This is – although less permanent – a rather effective and very much less invasive method to improve the appearance of the face/neck. The treatment can be carried out on an outpatient basis in our office in the Centro Médico Palmaplanas.
