One of the most common surgical treatments in aesthetic female genital surgery is the reduction of the size of the labia (labioplasty). This means a reduction in the size of the small or inner labia minora if they are too large or overstretched.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the aesthetic impairment, enlarged inner labia can lead to functional complaints. This includes mechanical irritation and pain during exercise, cycling or in tight clothing and of course during sexual intercourse. Psychological stress must also be taken into account with the development of inhibitions and complexes towards the partner as well as in other social situations (swimming pool, sport).<\/p>\n<p>With labia reduction, it is important that the inner labia are not simply surgically shortened, but simply reduced and shaped in order to achieve a normal appearance and proper function. Depending on the findings, the labia minora reduction can also be combined with an enlargement of the outer labia (labia majora) as part of an intimate surgical procedure. Most often, there is swelling and \/ or bruising which usually subsides after about 1-2 weeks. The pain after the operation is usually only mild and can be well controlled with common painkillers, e.g. Ibuprofen, or Paracetamol. Infection is extremely rare.<\/p>\n<p><u>Costs \/ prices of a labia reduction <\/u><\/p>\n<p>The exact treatment costs depend on various factors such as the extent of the operation and form of anesthesia. After a personal consultation and examination, the patient receives an individual cost estimate which varies around 2800-3500 \u20ac.
